(note that for most other compaq mode, example CQ35, CQ40, DV7 etc use the same infrared Driver which the driver file known as SP41661)

WIRELESS:
For DV3 model, they equip with one of the 3 type wireless, either broadcom, intel or atheros, so you must choose base on your specs. If you dont know which to choose, try which work for you, don't worry because installing wrong driver will not harm your system.

1. download the driver, extract the driver
2. Open device manager (click start - run -type DEVMGMT.MSC ) ,
3. right click on the network controller mark with yellow select update driver
4. No to connect, Select andvance
5. Select browse and point to the driver folder we extracted earlier.
6. continue with on screen instruction.

AUDIO:
1. Install MS-UAA and restart:
Windows XP SP2: Download (KB888111) or link
Windows XP SP3: Download (KB835221)


2. Install the Adudio:
IDT 92HD75B1/92HD75B2 @ Intel 82801IB ICH9 - High Definition Audio Controller WINXP driver

 If direct installation failed, we need to do manual install, so i write a post how to manually install your sound  READ IT HERE. (even this is for CQ35 series, it use the same driver with DV3)

NOTE:

AUDIO DRIVER -
The audio may not work after restart so there are 2 way to solve this;
1. Update the BIOS
2. start up tweak : Read here

1. Update BIOS: Download
Download this file, extract and run the WinFlash.Bat
(remember wrong flash may harm you system so do it carefully and assisted by someone who have the experienced)
